Every budget under Reagan would violate the proposed amendment.

No GOP Senator signing off on this proposal has given the slightest detail on what his or her budget would be to meet the terms of the Amendment.

This is a ploy, a trick, a charade, to make it look like the GOP is serious about this issue, but in reality they would never themselves pass it or be able to meet its terms.

This country has serious problems. More empty threats and fake plans to fix those problems are just a distraction. This is just so bad, at so many levels.

Generally agree, but entitlements must be cut more broadly than just on the seniors and medical reimbursements. Section 8 and the litany of food programs have to be radically changed. Defense has to take a similar beating. We aren't serious until we address these.
