Aidoo coming back ?

Does he turn pro ?

This might be a case where NIL Money could make him stay if we can pony up a lot of money. Hopefully other schools won't outbid us for him. It's going to take well over a million to keep him

Thoughts ?
I can’t imagine he would unless his performance tapers off. He will not have the guard play and attraction to Knecht among other things that help him so much. Plus if he keeps playing the way he is throughout the remainder of the reg and post season, he will get a solid offer.

Not worried about it because this season isn't over yet, but it's highly unlikely

Let's hope someone doesn't offer more than we can pay but I understand it's a business decision now so good for him. He has been the difference this year for sure

Aidoo has a chance to potentially be a lottery type draft pick in the 2025 draft and he will be THE DUDE on next season's squad.

I’m not sure why we are even worried about this right now. I’m not thinking much past this season. I’m enjoying this.

It would take a lot of work to see Aidoo drafted. His best shot would be a team looking for a few defensive minutes on the cheap rookie contract who may take a second round shot at him, but that would be iffy.

It would take a miraculous transformation on the offensive end to see him be a lottery pick next year.

One of the top 100 sites notes that he has no discernible NBA offensive skill.

He has made tremendous strides since playing here developing under Barnes. Another year and who knows where he could be.

The only way I could ever envision him leaving is if he wanted to go back near his hometown in Durham, NC and play for Duke or UNC. Even then, he would probably have to be guarenteed a starting spot, good NIL. But I wouldn't say it's out of the real of possibility. Its probably a lifetime dream to play for Duke or UNC if you grow up in that area.

Aidoo is not going anywhere unless drafted. Why would anybody leave CRB, test your loyalty instead of checking it at the door. The money will be there for him if he wants.

I think he goes pro IF he keeps it up. To go to another school and pick up classes, people, a new team and scheme… how much better would he be if he left? That said, I don’t think without Knecht pulling attention from him and vice versa, the best point guard we have had in… well who has been better than Z?, and the leadership of James and Vescovi brings, that his chances for improving his stock next year are great either. So, I’m thinking he is gone. Only chance he stays if we get a crazy good transfer package to replace Z, Knecht and someone to fill other voids. So, I guess the only hope in my mind is that we land xfers before he makes that decision. That said, I’m not sure if that is chronologically realistic?

Zeigler is a junior and will be back next season?

I don't think we have to worry about Aidoo turning pro. I would be surprised if he can ever land on a NBA roster. However, I could see another program recruiting him if we don't give him a decent enough NIL deal.

He's not the #1 five position player in the SEC IMO but I do like him in Barnes system. The NIL will be upped, I don't see him as an NBA player either. More like a G league or Europe JMO.

Which site is saying this? No discernible NBA offensive skill feels extreme. He's extremely athletic for his height, he has a very nice mid-range jump shot, and Barnes swears that he can shoot the 3, we just don't encourage him to do it. He certainly has areas he needs to improve, but saying he can't play offense in the NBA feels.....a bit much.

I can see him doing the NBA Evaluation, not signing with an Agent just to see where he would fit in the upcoming draft and what parts of his game would need extensive work . Then deciding from there if he should return. IF $5 million + is on the table with an NBA TEAM that's a lot of money to leave sitting. Not sure the NIL Gurus have that amount for him.
