i don't think we have to worry about anything getting to anyone's head...i think cut spent most of the summer taking all that space up if you know what i mean.....but kudos to him, great start for the kid and hope it builds his confidence, not only in himself, but in what the coaches are trying to get these guys to do.

Not only did AE get the Player of week in the USAtoday Poll but Jarod Mayo got an honorable mention...

•Jerod Mayo— The Tennessee linebacker, making just his second career start, recorded seven total tackles and three sacks in the Vols' 35-18 win over California. He contributed to a defensive unit that held the Golden Bears to 64 yards rushing and kept them out of the red zone until the third quarter.

Does anyone knows for sure if Jerod Mayo will play against Air Force? I kind of hope he does, but it'd be great to have him 100% healthy for Florida. I also think Rico McCoy would be able to hold his own if Mayo can't go.

Injury report: Linebacker Jerod Mayo returned to practice Thursday despite still having issues with a sprained ankle suffered during a preseason scrimmage.
Mayo wasn't listed on the injury report, and Fulmer said he isn't back to 100 percent. The coaches are concerned about Mayo playing against Air Force's offensive line, which often uses cut blocks.
