If this decision negatively affects his choice of schools, we don't want him, anyway. It's obvious (to most) what needs to happen, and I am happy that our staff has the cohones to step up to the plate for once. I just wish it would have happenned about 4 weeks ago.

If I'm a QB prospect, I want my school of choice to have a set and play the most talented guy. Of course, that would be "me" if I were Jimmy.

this could BITE us in the azz...with the recruiting of Jimmy Claussen i saw the kid play he is incredible... i think he could be way better than manning.....hard to believe but it is tru this kid has a CANNON... i think this move could piss his family off...i feel bad for rick he stuck around kept our season from collapsing last year...and if he didnt win those games last year for us....we would have never got that recruiting class, because face it no 1 wants to play for a LOSER.

Dude, Rick was never a real inside edge for Jimmy to begin with. To me it seems like South Carolina is his primary choice. Spurrier seems practically ready to build his entire program around Jimmy, and Jimmy knows it.
