Ainge on Heisman list

Will talking about how good we are make us any better either?

We have been rolling in our own glory, and then complaining about the BCS, when people forget it is possible we can lose to the teams coming up.

What is this "we" stuff? You talk like you are on the team or something. Let the fans talk about the media and such, it isn't a big deal. The players on the other hand need to take care of business on the field.

Glad to hear Ainge is getting some support. The Heisman is one of the biggest jokes in college football, but it's still good to see his name on the list.

Apparently CAL feels that I am. I was the difference in the game.

LMAO!!!

You are correct!!! We can win/lose respect in the upcoming games.

Why put Chad Henne in the top 5 over Ainge? Ainge clearly has the better stats.

Give Ainge another week off and let's see if he climbs in ESPN's Heisman Watch some more :)

Nobody seems to notice stats when they are doing their Heisman predictions. Ainge has been remarkable all year and just now gets mentioned in the footnotes. Of course, what more could we expect after the Woodson Nightmare/Scam/Robbery? And how can they even include Chris Leak? How good is a senior QB when he gets taken out on every third-and-short? Tebow scares me more as a true freshman than Leak does as a senior.

It's funny, at this point, to even see "Leak" and "Heistman" mentioned in the same sentence.

That being said, Ainge has about as much of a chance as a Knoxville snowfall in October.

Screw the ESPNs-man. Let's beat the crap out of Bama.

Sorry to all the stupid people out there that got confused when I said the word "we."

this means nothing right now. All I can think about is the upcoming game.
Oh please...it's OK for fans to look ahead...it's not like you're going to have an effect on the game. Nobody's real worried about you losing your focus.

Unless Troy Smith falls down an elevator shaft, or something, there's not going to be any need to have the Heisman ceremony...they can just mail it to him.

(whispering) shhh...I think he thinks he's on the team.

...and if they lose and he has a decent game he still is.

i hate to add to this thread, because i think that heisman talk is largely silly. that said, the heisman is more of a cumulative award than anything. although ainge has probably been the better quarterback this year than brady quinn, he won't get thrown in the conversation as a real contender until next year.

and i wont' care next year either.

His performance deserves a mention. People who write he won't win and we shouldn't be talking about him belittle his accomplishment this season. He is awesome this year and his name deserves to be on the long list.

As far as the Heisman being cumulative, that is alot of folks thought when Woodson won it over Peyton when he had a better year, that year.
