Does Erik bring anything to the table anymore. When his show began it was a refreshing take on the game.
Now it just seems boring with nothing but silly dribble.

I stopped listening a while back. I loved his football analysis but could do without the middle school banter and joking. Also got a little tired of the self promotion. Like I said, he brought a great football take which can't be heard on other shows, or couldn't then at least

he also tweets out teasers for some big news he will reveal the following day, "the REAL story behind...." which turns out to be nothing.

Yeah, it's gotten kind of predictable. But Ainge does still occasionally have some nice insights on what is actually happening in a game and how an offense works. And, even if the act is getting a bit stale, it's still so much more palatable than the old brown nosing dinosaurs on the other station who are still trying to figure out why Dooley got fired.

You all just can't get enough of bashing former players. Just waiting for a drug addiction joke.

that was why I listened. Unfortunately it seems to have become less of a focus. I remember one in particular where he broke down what certain WR could do against certain defenses, why they did it and what the QB expected (used Swain and Meachem as examples). That is what would separate his show from any others in Knoxville

Bashing? Not everyone thinks it's an awesome show. I'm not going to make fun of his past personal troubles bc I think his radio show sucks.

That is what I liked as well, it was refreshing and awesome. The sophmoric Clay Travis stuff is what lost me. Ainge is great at analysis imo. Last fall I would listen to him break down a game and it was so insightful and something I would like more of

who is bashing him? Some don't care for aspects of his show or his self promotion. There are no personal attacks. I for one would never stoop to bringing up what you mentioned. In fact, I hadn't seen a reference to his past drug use until you posted it. Why do you even have to bring that up? Kind of hypocritical isn't it? Here we are having a discussion of his show and you bring that out, so who is dwelling on it again? Let's bury that.

Ainge's show got worse when they moved him to a 4-hour time slot, imo.

He was much better 7-9, the content of the show was much better. Now it feels like they're stretching an hours worth of material into 4, and it's brutal after about 7:30.

It was really enjoyable when he did stuff like that. Now it's 4 hours of middle school bathroom humor. It's gone downhill a good bit. That said, it pummels everything else during that time slot.

I listen in Nashville every morning through an app. I appreciate waking up to true football analysis, even though it is often surrounded by nonsense. However, I also feel like the focus has drifted over the past few months away from analysis toward more fluff and bs. It is easier to do fluff and nonsense on the radio because it takes zero preparation. Erik is best when he breaks down the games, plays, strategy and players. I wish the show had more insightful comments from Erik and less of what I can find on VolNation.
