Ainge Story

Sounds like a much better mental attitude. Sounds like a better relationship with the other players as well. Since we heard there was this friction or dislike between Ainge and the other players, this story gives the appearance that is now gone and everyone is thinking with one mind.

Hey at this point ANYTHING in the right direction is better than last year. A step could have won us 3 additional games last year.....or at least a field goal kick could have.

I think by game 3 or 4 EA will be looking like the QB we thought he would. I also don't buy into the whole "other players don't like him" stuff.

I could see a loyalty factor come into play. I could see some having a greater sense of loyalty to Clausen and some to Ainge as well. That even existing shows the coaching wasn't there. Coaches nip that in the bud right quick and put everyone on the same page if they see this developing. Another reason to be happy about a change in staff in this area.

Ainge will be just fine..............

24 Touchdowns and 10 interceptions later and every one will be singing Rocky Top with the Wooo!

I agree 100%. I thought this would happen. This is Cut's MO. Ainge struggled in first scrimmage and then Cut worked out the kinks. There will be more positive steps in the right direction before game day and then on through the season. I see this turning out to be a decent to very good year.

If Trooper spends the money he gets for speaking at Alumni dinners on moving Ainges dad to Knoxville, is it still a violation?

Just asking.

Amen. It seems they thought they could let Ainge and Clausen compete and would make hay when Ainge beat him out... but then he didn't and things began to fly apart.

It would have been better to let Clausen win the job fair and square then let Ainge overtake him naturally rather than trying to force it resulting in a divided team.

I was under the impression Ainge's family was loaded anyways...??? I mean we all know his Uncle is, but are his parents not?

Ainge's father is a school teacher. And, as a fellow school teacher I will assure you they are not loaded from his occupation. Did brother Danny just give him lots of money? I dont know...but he isn't loaded from his teaching job.
