When Clausen is in the news he's railing on fans giving up on him or whining about fans on Sanders. When Ainge is in the news, he's breaking down the problems and working on getting them righted. There is a difference with the composure of both of these guys. Clausen is a blame guy. Ainge is a break it down and try harder guy.

I read this and other articles and see more character coming out of Ainge. He's leaving personal feelings aside and staying focused on the issue at hand: recognizing mistakes, correcting mistakes, and working on winning the next game.

Let me guess...you think Ainge should start?

one night a guy who was strugglin fell against a goal post in a swamp. another guy pulled him and the rest of the team outta the swamp and marched them to victory.

moral of the story.... once the hero has taken the reigns, dont take away his horse.

And since that victory in Death Valley Clausen has been outstanding leading us to victory after victory.....no fumbles, no sacks, no interceptions, no three and outs, no losses, perfect passes at all ranges, etc., etc., etc.

Clausen didn't have his horse taken away from him, he fell off of it on his own. He's been inconsistent and does a marvelous job with running his mouth to the media. We don't need a TO or a Keyshawn out in front of the cameras boosting the morale like he does. He had his chance. We have to look to the future.

point taken. i just think that clausen was primed to lead the team if he had been named the starter publicly and with certainty for the rest of the season after that happened, and not the wishy washy stuff that followed. its like everytime he stumbled, the rug got yanked the rest of the way out from under him by the UT O staff...

Yes Ainge looks like he has more character, especially when he has both of his ear rings in and his hair has been highlighted.

Didn't know that was a disqualifier.....shaved head yelling at fans and crying about a coach to the media is sooooo much better.

I've said it once and I'll say it again...Claussen has been poision this year. I thought it was "cute" too when he jerked away from Fulmer in the post game interveiw, but that's where it should have stopped. I'm sick of watching him make smug faces on the sideline when Ainge screws up. I'm sick of the snide remarks about the fans that have given blood and $$ to build this team over the years, and I'm pretty confident that alot of the under-effort on behalf of our WR's is to be traced directly back to him......and his Daddy can keep that third one(yeah, I heard his remark too!!)

I think exactly the opposite. Dumb young COAHING induced mistakes can be overcome...his LSU cast-off arm cannot.

Surely you aren't suggesting that the WR's are purposely dropping balls b/c EA is throwing them and not RC?

]"To me it was like I really lost the game because if I had caught those two passes we would have had a chance to win at Notre Dame," he said. "I replay those plays in my head every day thinking about what I could have done different."

Dive. Keep running. Go get it.

"Guys say forgive and forget," Meachem said. "I can forgive myself, but I just can't forget those two plays.

"Both those balls Erik threw, he couldn't have thrown them any better. I should have laid out for the first one, and the second one I should have just run through and got it."

Sorry VolsWinRLose, I didn't mean to edit your post, I hit edit instead of reply..... :banghead:

not withstanding ainges inconsistency (not to mention clausen's), Ainge has one of the strongest arms in college football. if fulmer would break out a bit and bring a strong coordinator ainge will excel.

R Clausen received a charity scholarship from UT. It was never expected that he would play. He has shown why he was told to leave LSU. Yes, he played well ine the second half of the football against LSU but that is all he has done this year!!!!!!!

The scholie he reeceived was an effort to gain the Clausen's trust in order to snag the younger brother. J Clausen will not attend UT.

Oh and Ricky is a cry baby. Coaches get fired all the time. It is part of the business.
