I think Cooter should get a fair shot. Didn't he win a state championship? If ainge messes up and Clausen is out, he'll have to play.

Lucas Taylor was the third string last week, so if Rick is out, I would assume he moves up to backup... if he does wind up taking snaps, look for him to run around like schaeffer did. He's shifty.

From what I understand Taylor was a QB in HS and was recruited here just on his atheletic ability.

LOL Cooter has been at UT as long as I HAVE! I remember UF fans 4 years ago wearing some of those haloween teeth and a shirt with "Jim Bob Cooter" written on it...

If Clausen can't play and Erik Ainge should get injured against the Wildcats, Bo Hardegree would most likely be the quarterback. The Vols also have an offensive package that employs receiver/kick returner Lucas Taylor at QB.

Are you trying to say I'm wrong based on an article that says "most likely" then, in the next sentence adds credence to what I said?

From that wording, they don't even know what they would do.

Why do they even have a package for Taylor at QB? They're never going to use it. Maybe it's that end around that always gets us negative yards.

It's called the QB fumble package. Razzle Dazzle.

Reminds me of when they said we could win the SEC with Jermaine Copeland at QB. That confused me, because we couldn't win it with Peyton Manning when they said it. And I always thought Peyton was pretty good.

This thread reminds me of the movie Days of Thunder...When Robert Duval tells Tom Cruise to go back out and hit the pace car cause he's hit everything else out there...Same with our QBs...Put another guy in cause Lord knows everyone else has not hit anything, including the end zone, our receivers, NOTHING! :banghead:
