Nobody (male nor female) here in Florida ever complains about it being too cold in the office in the summer.

Maybe its a Yankee thing?

The original story came from the WashPost and other news agencies have run with it. In my office in Atlanta, the females usually wear a sweater but nobody really complains b/c 73 isn't really cold

Didn't watch video since headline seemed ridiculous. I am lucky if we can keep temp at 73. Just checked thermostat outside of my office and its 75 and the air-conditioning is working continuously. It just can't keep up with outside temp in 90's, high humidity and students going in and out of building.

Oh, you gotta watch/listen. They go from a feminist angle to an environmental angle at the very end.

I just moved to South Florida a few months ago. It's terrible.

Look at what women wear, and then look what men wear, there's a BIG difference in material and coverage in most cases. That's the reason most women are freezing. Also, eat some food, carbs to help with energy production and storage to help regulate temperature.

I'm so glad my wife and I are on the same page as far as keeping it cooler in our home. I couldn't live with a cold natured woman.

When its cold you can always drink something hot and/or bundle up. When it's hot you can lay there naked with a fan blowing on you and still be miserable.

Exactly! My employers learned the hard way about keeping it too warm in the showroom.

I like it right at 68 in my house.

68 is perfect. I try to survive at 74 during the hot summer days and to appease my fiancé but typically it ends up at 70-72. I turn it down to 68 at night when she's in bed so she doesn't know and I can sleep comfortably lol. In the past two years I got two new 3 ton trane units on 13 seer the other for upstairs bedrooms 15 seer variable speed etc. it's been well worth it because 72-74 feels like what 68 felt like on my old unit and the electric bill is noticeably cheaper. We'll see how we do in the winter time though... That's when my electric bill was higher than I ever thought possible, this past February and March.
