I just was reminded what a great and underrated comedy this movie was. Im probably sort of at an middle of the road age of people on this board so people my age and over know what im talking about.

Before the crap of Scary Movie 4 and Epic Movie and Meet The Spartans, there was this airplane spoof movie done by the masters of spoof David Zucker and Jerry Zucker as well as Jim Abrahams, who also did the Naked Gun movies. This movie was released the year i was born but even the references of that time are funny to me. A classic not to be forgotten with some of the better one liners.
Basically if you haven't seen this movie, Netflix it or rent it, mention my name and you get a 40% discount.
Then again im a sucker for 80's movies like Fletch,Caddyshack and The Lampoon movies so take it for what its worth..

it is a classic. i love the style of this one and the naked guns. also, i love all of the mel brooks movies. that slap stick type of comedy that you can watch many times over and see something new each time. they don't make them like they used to.

I hate those movies and I'm 22. Airplane, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Dracula:Dead and Loving It, etc are the greatest comedies I can remember.

I loved Airplane. I didn't care for the other movies you mentioned, but I did like that one.
1941 was good too.

You do know that David Zucker and Jim Abrahams did Scary Movie 4 right? Guess not.

The naked gun movies and airplane are awesome but the stuff they've done recently have been as bad as the rest of the crap everyones been putting out.

A hospital, what is it?

It's a big building with patients but that's not important right now.

The characterazations of Arabs/Muslims in that movie were the same then as they are now. It really hit home after I saw Airplane a few years after 9/11.

Also, if you like Airplane, you'll like Blazing Saddles.

i love the part where the plane is abotu to crash and u see kareem went from airplane pilot clothes to lakers jersey lol

I think it's in Airplane: The Sequel that shows several heavily armed Arabs passing right through a metal detector. Right behind them is a little old lady, she trips the alarm, and gets promptly set upon by security.

if that scene is in the first one, it has been edited out of the DVD copy that I have.

Both Blazing Saddles and Airplane are amazing movies....of course I'm serious and don't call me Shirley!
