AJ Johnson

I love his heart and drive, but the kid has some poor habits on the field. Plus, the kid is still raw and needs refining along with increasing his football IQ. With that being said, I think he will play on Sunday's.

Did you watch the Super Bowl last year?? Ray Ray couldn't cover anyone. Point is your MLB stays in on 3rd downs. They are play callers and leaders on the field. Thus, I wouldn't take AJ out on 3rd downs. What do you think now orange pants?

Did you ever watch Ray Lewis play at Miami? You're using the last game of his entire pro career to justify your argument? Also nobody should ever mention AJ Johnson's name in the same sentence with Ray Lewis. That's offensive to Ray Lewis.

This team is so slow!!!! Dooley recruited snails in a greyhound league. I believe that in order to increase our over all team speed, some players will need to change positions.

Move- McNeil or Randolph to OLB
Move- Maggitt and A.J. to DE at least on 2nd/3rd down and long
Move-thomas now DB, Blanc, and Bowles to Olb

Move some DE after they gain about 20 or 30lbs to DT

Trying to play this Defense with Snails will never work!!!

Get outta here, AJ is solid and plays with heart and anger. If we could get to the quarterback he'd be All SEC. Again, get out.
AJ plays undisciplined. When he does his assignment correctly, I will think more of his football ability. Just because he runs some one down from across the field does not remove the fact that he has been out of position so much of the time that he has not done his job. AJ is a great athlete, he needs to slow down and play disciplined football.

AJ is the best we have right now. There is no doubt about that. But, he's no where close to the talent or ability of LB's we had from 10-17 years ago. Just watching him run one could tell he's not an elite LB. But, as I said earlier, he is the best we've got.

This whole season, I've been watching him get beat by TE, RB, and WR's. I see that his numbers are really good, but they don't tell the whole story. He's a great run stopper, but should not be a starting middle linebacker in the SEC. He couldn't cover the ABC song.

You don't have a clue. AJ was all over that field playing is a** off!!

You missed my point. Even when Lewis had lost a step, he was still on the field. I think AJ needs to be on the field on 3rd down. Or at least whoever is the starting MLB.

AJ covers the slot man on 3rd down most times. Right?

I respectfully disagree. Playing with heart and anger is all well and good, but his technique sucks. Too many grabbing tackles. He is asked to do a lot as the leader of the defense, but he will get better. Hopefully he will come back.

So you know more about tackling than AJ?

You forgot to add that Pig Howard and Marlin Lane should be ILBs

I love AJ. I just think his speed and high winding motor get him out of position a lot. His angles aren't always great and caused him to miss tackles. However he chases the play all over the field and comes ready to play every week.if we had 3 or 4 more guys with the ability to find the play like he has, we would have two more wins this season.

AJ just isn't fast enough. It's as plain and simple as that. That's probably why UGA didn't make a huge effort to get him even though he's from right in their backyard in Gainesville, GA.

I love his heart and his effort, but it's frustrating watching him try to cover receivers, or run down plays on the edge and miss.
