AJ Johnson

See I may agree with the DE part...BUT he plays every down and is always near the ball. He hits holes fairly well, problem is his D Line doesn't help him what so ever and he struggles getting out to the edge. AJ catches a lot of neg rap....but I still think he is our best backer. Makes good reads for the most part from what I've seen.

If he had a replacement and could stay fresher I think he'd be way more dominate!

Entire defense needs revamped. We don't have too many players, if any at all, that would be starting on defense for any of the upper echelon SEC teams.

he plays very high, I don't think he'd work out at DE. But a really good tackler if he gets his hands on you

None of y'all have the brass to say it to him and I bet he is fast enough to catch you if did and ran too. He is a goo football player. One guy can't make a defense.

Best, most consistent tackler on the Team...

Probably wouldn't start on 6-7 other SEC Teams...

Speed isn't AJ's only problem........he is always taking poor angles........all the speed in the world won't help that

Yep. That is why all of his tackles are high. He is reaching when they go by and slings them down.

AJ keeps bringin' the guys down. Not sure what else everyone expects of him. His name gets called more than others.

And you will all be pissed when he doesn't say "Tennessee" when he's announced as a starter on Monday night football someday. Keep it up guys.

And here it is. The "you wouldn't say it to his face" argument that finds its way into every thread that critiques a player.

I remember a year ago when it wasn't the players fault, it was all coaching

Same results this year and its not coaching

Confusing

Sheep, go figure.:hi:

No reason to argue or bash each other over AJ. He plays hard and tough, he is a great tackler and a true VFL. That said, everyone including him knows he is not a 3 down LB in the NFL. He will make a team and perhaps get his name called on MNF and that is Awesome ! Is he Al Wilson ? No. But he never claimed to be, he just accepted the offer to wear the Orange, and he has done it well in my opinion ! Good luck AJ hope you leave early and make a $ BIzillion !!! :salute:
