He makes good throws a few times a year, but bottom line his biggest argument for the heisman is his record, which he wouldn't have if he didn't play on the team he does. His numbers certainly aren't heisman like.
But he never HAD to put up those crazy stats. I think he could. Plug him in Baylor or A&M offense. I think he'd surpass their gaudy numbers.
It will be really interesting to see how he fares at the combine. If the overriding comment out of the combine is "but he's a winner," then he wasn't very impressive at all.
He will have to impress them with some sort of tangible ability...accuracy, reading defenses, etc., to find his way onto a roster.
