AJ Oglivy Declares for Draft

Didn't see it anywhere else, but Vanderbilt center AJ Oglivy has declared for NBA draft and will hire an agent.

well Vandy is toast. He was basically their last hope of having a semi decent season next year. Things are lining up for the Vols in the east next season. Good things people. Good Things.

Vandy will still be alright. With exception to Beal and him - all of their contributors have pretty much been freshmen or sophomores.

They'll end up being better. That will get Ogilvy's immobile ass out of the way and give Jeff Taylor more room to attack the basket.

Ogilvy was, at best, the third best player they had with eligibility remaining.

Tough to say until the rosters settle. Making assumptions as to how recruiting goes and what people stay in the draft, I think Tennessee, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, and Ole Miss will be at the top of the standings.

If, by some chance, we keep Hopson and land Selby, what is the best case for this team next year, assuming the team can play to their potential?

Win the SEC, lose on the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament. Can't see them reaching the Final Four.

If Ogilvy doesn't make an NBA roster, he can go home to Australia and cash a big check in the ABL. It's not like he only has one option.

Well that's true. I guess I was thinking more along the lines of if he thought he was actually going to make an NBA roster.
