Word is spreading across the college football recruiting landscape on Phenix City (Ala.) 2024 cornerback Jayden Coleman. Developing his skills against 7A squads with Central High School last fall, the three-star has added 12 offers with ACC, Big Ten, and SEC teams giving their stamps of approval. Proximity has helped Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, and Florida get Coleman on campus in recent weeks.

Back in January, Coleman saw the Hogs then in late March stopped at Alabama and Tennessee on back-to-back days meeting up with the Gators over the weekend.

While in Knoxville, Coleman was able to interact more with Tennessee’s coaching staff.

“We talked about the plays, talked about regular things, and about how life is going,” Coleman said.

Cornerbacks coach Willie Martinez and safeties coach Tim Banks put on a clinic instructing their players allowing Coleman to learn more about the game.

“What caught my eye is how they use different techniques than other teams,” Coleman shared. “They use different techniques for different formations.”

Seeing himself fit into the Volunteers’ defensive scheme, Coleman left impacted about the trip.

“They have good facilities,” Coleman stated. “I really liked their film room. I liked their players; they interacted with me and talked with me.”
