Reynard Ellis Stats, News, Bio | ESPN
Was looking through players in the portal at LB and this is BY FAR the best guy available at the position. Birmingham native, started his career originally at Furman and lead the team in tackles as a true freshman. Then went to GA Southern to play FBS ball and was their leading tackler in 2019. Both this season (before the opt out) and last season he was 1st team all conference in the sun belt. At 6’1 230 he is big enough for SEC ball. Also dropped back into coverage quite a bit and made plays. His most recent game was against Army and he had 15 solo tackles (18 total). In his 2 P5 teams, he had 7 against LSU in a 55-3 blowout vs their Joe burrow natty team and had a good game against a top 25 Minnesota with 7 tackles and a sack. Probably a day 3 draft pick as is. Think there was some traction early with him and South Carolina but he never officially made the move. (Not sure why)
