Al Qaeda doesn't plan to give Obama the kid glove treatment like the liberal media has.

(CNN) -- An audio message reportedly from al Qaeda's deputy chief vows revenge for Israel's air and ground assault on Gaza and calls the Jewish state's actions against Hamas militants "a gift" from U.S. President-elect Barack Obama.

The speaker, identified as Ayman al-Zawahiri, addresses Muslims in Gaza. He said the violence "is one part of a series of a crusade war against Islam and these air strikes are a gift from Obama before he takes office, and (Egyptian President) Hosni Mubarak, that traitor, is the main partner in your siege and killing."

The message, posted Tuesday on various Islamist Web sites with a picture of al-Zawahiri next to an image of a wounded child, urges militants to rally against Israel.

"My Muslim brothers and mujahedeens in Gaza and all over Palestine, with the help of God we are with you in the battle, we will direct our strikes against the crusader Jewish coalition wherever we can."

The 10-minute message also address Muslims worldwide, claiming that Obama was portrayed as "the savior who will come and change American policy" during the U.S. election but is now "killing your brothers and sisters in Gaza without mercy or even pity."

Seriously. Why does the media even report this stuff? It's obvious to everybody that it's pure garbage every time, yet the media is a willing vessel to dissiminate propoganda.

I wouldn't be surprised to see some people upset over these comments...

I think all of you missed the main point.

Obama was going to bring peace with our terrorist enemies. What was the line, "peace through dialogue", or something of that nature. This proves that was total horsesh*t.

What's so funny about it. Obama was smart enough to know from the get go, that is was horsesh*t. It was nothing more than political spiel. These people don't understand reasoning or negotiation.

However, the Obama supporters weren't nearly as perceptive. They bought his political drivel hook, line, and sinker.

I agree, who cares.

This is a pointless thread. I'm sorry I opened it.

I'm sorry this thread did not exceed your high expectations.

I will immediately contact CNN. I'm sure they will be devastated to learn, their story did not meet your criteria for news.

I'm pretty sure you missed the point. Obama has made it clear that public enemy #1 is bin Laden. Al Qaeda realizes that we're about to put the offensive focus where it should have been all along.

This message from Al Qaeda is just a shot across the bow meant to send a message to their muslim brethren everywhere that it does not matter who is president, they will continue to fight and hit us wherever possible. This is not about George W or Obama. It is the extremist resolve to stamp out everything but Muslim law in the world.

Obama, nor anyone else for that matter will be successful by opening dialogue with those that mean to kill or convert us by the sword.

I don't see Obama going in to Pakistan, a country that has nuclear capability, with his guns blazing. I am afraid he will soon find out there are reasons he cannot get Bin Laden, much like the reasons Bush was unable to get him.

Here is an interesting side note to the situation.

Egypt is demanding Iran bring to justice the authors of an advertisement calling on Iranians to assassinate Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.

The advertisement was published by the Iranian Fars News agency on Sunday by a student group.

The announcement was in Persian and offered a reward of $1 million to whoever would carry out the deed, against the backdrop of Egypt's refusal to open the Rafah border with Gaza.

Mu'stafa Al-Fiqqi, who heads the Foreign Relations Committee in the Egyptian parliament, said the provocateurs should be penalized for their actions, explaining that incitement to murder was a crime punishable by both international and state law.

Cairo and Teheran have had an acrimonious relationship for almost three decades.

Iran cut its diplomatic relations with Egypt following the late president Anwar Sadat's signing of the Camp David peace agreement with Israel in 1979.

Sadat's welcoming of the Shah of Iran following the collapse of his regime in 1979 sharpened the tensions between the two countries.

This was compounded when Iran named a street after Khalid Al-Islambouli, the man who assassinated Sadat in 1981.

I have confidence the next administration will take on many things the current was unable or unwilling to get done.

Honestly, the bin Laden issue has been a major problem for me since 9/11/2001. To hear a president at least say we will bring him to justice goes a long way with me personally. For me, Bush's legacy will be intertwined in his many quotes about not caring where bin Laden is and basically conveying he gave up on it.

So.... when all else fails.... blame the black guy??

Does this make Al Qaeda racists, too?

Did Obama not claim he would sit down with anyone, without precondition?

SURPRISE!!!! Al Qaeda does not share that same attitude.

Bush has used the fear tactic enough to have you believing we should be scared to sit down with people?

Back on focus here anyway - get bin Laden and bring him to justice for 3000 dead Americans.

care to help me understand this commentary, since refusal to acknowledge a nation's existence is an age old diplomatic tool.

Which would be worse IYO? To let Bin Laden continue to live looking over his shoulder every day, knowing any new directive he gives could be his last. Or sending the military into an unfriendly country with nuclear capability, creating even more instability in an already tenuous region?

It's just good to know we will have a president that wants to bring him to justice. The tactics and ramifications are a-plenty.

Refusal to acknowledge a nation's existence is fine. Sitting with an individual in a diplomatic fashion should be fine too.
