2027 QB Trent Seaborn, yes, you read that right, was on campus today for a look at Tennessee. Seaborn blew up last season at perennial Alabama powerhouse Thompson High School last season. He enjoyed his first look at Tennessee and time spent with the staff. He is on track to be a premier now in the class as recruitments continue to start earlier and earlier it seems.
Some will argue against that but it absolutely put Tennessee on the map as far as an NIL force. It definitely paid more dividends in the following years I believe than in Nico’s class. Most people think recruiting is just the year of the current class but you start really making relationships and in roads earlier. Nico’s NIL and just his popularity put Tennessee on a lot of players radar early in their recruitments.Have a feeling years from now we will all agree the money spent on Nico was some of the best money spent in the history of UT football. It’s gonna pay itself back SOOOO much
It is early in the 2027 cycle, obviously, and Tennessee, to this point, has extended a small amount of offers at the quarterback position. One of those offers is Trent Seaborn, who has been a national name to know since eighth grade when he took over at quarterback for Thompson High School early in the season and led them to a state title.
-VQHe has an excellent offer list for a sophomore and tells us he plans to return to Knoxville next month for the Florida game as he will look to learn more about the Tennessee offense in person.
