Tennessee picked up its 8th commitment for the 2025 class on Thursday when Sidney Walton jumped in the boat. Walton’s junior tape really caught the eye of the staff and they went to work to get him in the boat before he truly blows up. The Vols like him at safety and that’s where he projects at the next level.

There’s more to it than that. It’s fair to look at the offer list and this staff’s history of DB recruiting and be sceptical. Doesn’t mean that’s the right take but it is reasonable

But from what I can tell he was always in position.

There are many athletic kids that try and play football but never have the football IQ to perform what there taught. This young man is long athletic and in just 2 years of playing football his understanding of game impresses me which bodes well for his future. Big Celing with him great pickup by Staff. . We’ve had a few players taken that I didn’t really like much. That said this kid isn’t one of them. He’s going to be good.

I honestly can't tell because of the quality of the highlights. I could only watch about 2 minutes.

Squirrel White had similar style footage. But he was so fast you could still see him pulling away from anyone even at that upfield angle.

Not a fan of it for sure...

But yes, I agree they are good at spotting talent.
