I am sure the extreme El Rushbo crowd will say this is a bad day for democrats.................

Any who, they may have cut the head off, but I am sure someone else is chomping at the bits to step in.

Regardless if someone else is ready to step in, this was one evil bastard. Getting him and at least one of his key lieutenants is definately a positive.

They've also retrieved a large amount of intell. from raids associated with this event.

It's not a bad day for anyone but Al-Zarqawi and his thugs.

I understand this is the same date as their prophet Mohamed (sp.?) died.
Grist for the martyrdom mill...

Yes the wackoes will see this as more ammo for the martyrdom mill but how could anyone short of the most radical and insane, sociopathic muslim see this scum bag as anything but a brutal, murderous, heathenistic savage, slime ball. His life brought nothing but misery, pain and piles of dead bodies for the world. Nothing good came from his tenure on the earth and his departure should be seen as a glorious day for all civilized peoples irrespective of their religion of nationality.

Do we wrap terrorists in pig skin when we bury them?

I know the Russians do.

Just a thought................

I would say we had something to do with it...

Planning for the operation was "a very long, painstaking, deliberate exploitation of intelligence, information- gathering, human sources, electronic, signal intelligence that was done over a period of time -- many, many weeks," Caldwell said.

Well yeah, they've been hunting for him for over 2 years now haven't they? At this rate, we'll find Bin Laden in another 20 years.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's a good thing this guy is dead, it's just that it probably won't make that big of a difference in the grand scheme of things.

My bad, it was Jordan's sources that helped us find him...
the information came from Jordan's sources inside Iraq and led the U.S. military to the area where Iraq's prime minister said Zarqawi was killed in an airstrike Wednesday night, said the official, who has knowledge of the operation.

Jordan? Damn, that man can play some basketball, and now he's turning in terrorists! Whooo.

Just kidding. Thank God this man is dead. He had become more powerful than Bin Laden. This was the guy beheading people.

I talked to a friend of mine living in Jerusalem. He said we can all sit back and rejoice we got him. But he reminded me that the Israelis have been killing some of the most brutal leaders of Islamic Jihad, Hizbollah, and Hamas for decades. No matter how many they kill 5 replace each of them and the killings get worse each time. He said we also need to be reminded that Zarqawi was one of our own making and that Bin Laden, the culprit behind why we're at war, is still at large and the Taliban is growing stronger by the day not only in Afghanistan but in neighboring Pakistan as well.

HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When since Mohammed, has the Middle East been at Peace?

Those savages have been killing each other for one reason or another for time in memoriam.

I don't think any of us will live to see that part of the world at peace. They are racists, sexists, backward, amoral, inhumane, uncultured, uncivilized, and brutal. Their since of values is beyond our understanding. Human life and humanity means absolutely nothing to the savage radical elements in that part of the world. If they can't find an outside enemy to hate and kill they hate and kill each other.

The middle east is a festering septic tank of inhumanity and nothing we can do will change it whort of making the entire region glow in the dark.

That's true somewhat. It's still horrible in most of the places.

But if I could, I would move to Abu Dhabi, UAE. That place is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
