Alabama changing QBs

Seems a little desperate to me. Yes, Milroe didn’t play well against Texas but I would stick with him against USF to help him regain his confidence. All this is going to do is make Buchner look over his shoulder if he struggles. He’ll play well against USF, but what happens when he struggles against a better team? You go back to Milroe, who will then be looking over his shoulder if he makes a bad play?

Umm, yeah.

Milroe hasn't been a world beater, but he didn't lose the game against Texas.

This Bama team is just not up to par when judged against the last 15 years or so teams.

Doesn't mean they can't have a good season, but they're not sniffing the playoffs.

Milroe can’t read a defense and is too inconsistent.

Against goods team, you can’t do that.

Can’t blame Saban for changing QBs.

For those who think Saban is "checked out" or "mailing it in" these days, he could've left Milroe at QB without a problem against USF but he's looking at his season.

He's stunned, but not out yet. TN needs to deliver the knockout on the 3rd Sat in October. We got this.

One loss and they are "stunned". I wonder if grief counselors are descending en mass on Tuscaloosa.

He wasn't good enough to start for ND. This tells you all you need to know about the Gumps. The SEC is a LOS league. Their LOS has been average for 3 years. Tua and Bryce bailed them out. Now that have below average QBs. They may lose 4 games this year.

Agree they’ve got other issues but those two interceptions were killers. Gave Texas the ball on the 26 and then on the 5 - both converted to TDs. I watched those plays multiple times and the only thing I can conclude is that Milore just can’t read a basic zone defense. Bama will have a tough time with him as their primary QB IMO - to me he’s more of a guy you bring in for a few plays a game.

Ty Simpson will be the highest rated QB in the portal…not sure why he hasn’t been in the mix

THIS. Two turnovers as a Bama QB in a losing effort at home against a ranked opponent will get you seated and watching someone else play that position.

Heard a rumor yesterday that Milroe was benched because he got pissy in practice about sharing reps and supposedly showed his rear end pretty bad. Again, just a rumor I heard.
