For the record, "Smokie" was a character in the movie "Friday", Smokey is the UT mascot.

Should have sent Smokey after the Bama fans to the east side of the Jumbotron. I was over at the top the Gate 10 ramp (SE corner actually) taking pictures of the beautiful day, river, tailgaters, etc. I glance up and see Bama fans leaning over and spitting at UT fans over the top row near the Jumbotron. They stopped when Bama fans walked through. An Usher just happened to be standing right next to me and I pointed up. He asked ME to go tell the usher at that particular section. They need radios or something.

Between that and the chanting while Coker was down, it got my blood boiling pretty good.

Smokey lunged at the refs when the team was coming back out to start the second half against AF. Sounds like the mean Smokey logo has had an affect on the real Smokey.

I was just listening to the Dan Patrick show on ESPN radio and Dan had Chris Fowler on. Dan ask him about Smokey biting the Bama player and he said "The Bama player backed into Smokey's mouth because Smokey didn't bite him"
