Carson Tinker, an offensive lineman/special teams player for the Crimson Tide, who is a native of Murfreesboro and a graduate of Riverdale High School, is in the hospital after the killer tornadoes in Tuscaloosa threw him about 50 feet out of his house.

For some of you, it may have a lot more meaning because this is a Tennessee kid, born and bred, who happens to play for a hated rival. However, it is time to put aside the bitter rivalry and lend prayers and best wishes to him, his family, and the entire Tuscaloosa community during this difficult time. Merge if necessary.

Wow that awful!! I hope he will be ok. I agree, rivalry aside T-town needs our help.

Prayers going up for this young man, no matter if he's a Tennessean or a Bama player. This storm system sucked and continues to cause families grief in the south and along the east coast.

I think I saw a picture of him somewhere. It may have been another player. Either way, good luck to him.

I counted at least 25 homes and businesses completely demolished here in Cleveland. This storm was horrible. Never seen anything like it. Prayers go out to the young man. T-town got hit bad. 200 mph winds
