While touring Alabama's campus on Thursday, I was very impressed with the area leading up to the front of their stadium with the statues and championship years engraved in the sidewalk. My question is, why doesn't Tennessee do something that shows our history like that? I know we have a statue of the General, but that only came about recently. We name streets after people, but I'd really like to see something along the Vol Walk path that leads up to the stadium with statues of Neyland, Majors, Fulmer, Peyton, and Reggie White.....I'd also add Eric Berry, but that's just because he was my personal favorite.

The Bear Bryant museum was pretty cool to see too; however, I wanted to punch the TV showed fat boy Cody blocking our field goal and throwing his helmet......my girlfriend covered my mouth as I said out loud, "That should have been a penalty!"

Yeah, you know there are other schools that do some things right. I also enjoyed Georgia last year and Florida this year. Oh my god, I said something nice about another SEC school.

I was just messin. Just about every SEC school has some unique things they do to make gameday special. Glad you enjoyed it...more than the game I would expect.

I thought the "Champion Walk" was where arrested Bama players were dismissed by the Magistrate on a technicality.

Because we would have to think of 6 more years that we won the national championship when we didn't like the Red Team does.:salute:

Isn't the walk of champions mentioned in nickie's Chevrolet commercial? I thought him say something about there being 37 plaques, one for each claimed championship.

I actually liked it when we only had the names of the players who were killed in WWII honored with retired jersey numbers. Kind of put everything in perspective. It was nice to honor only the men who gave their lives instead of putting up numbers of players whose only contribution was to play a football game well.
