Alabama's "Champion Walk"

"champions walk" is a laughable joke of a tradition. They walk every bit of 50 yards with maybe a 1000 in attendance.

cause ya'll keep firing and paying
x coaches..

Did Mike Price coach a game? That had to be embarrassing to be a Bubba fan. I remember living in Huntsville when that happened. Could've find a trailer anywhere with a Bammer banner or flag.

:eek:lol:

yes but didn't fire the winningest coach in the SEC

For reasons I will never understand Rich Rodriguez turned Alabama down in 2006 only to take the Michigan job a year later...If he had taken the Bama job like he should have I think he would have done well enough to keep it for as long as he wanted but they would be anything but dominant...Alabama got lucky as hell.

You did run a National Championship coach(Stallings) out of town.

After an investigation that ran from late 1993 to August 1995, the NCAA found Alabama guilty of four major rules violations during the 1993 season. Stallings was implicated, along with athletic director Hootie Ingram, in falsifying the eligibility of Alabama cornerback Antonio Langham during that season. Langham had signed with a sports agent and applied to enter the NFL Draft following the 1993 Sugar Bowl, but was not subsequently declared ineligible per NCAA rules. Alabama officials only declared him ineligible the week before the 1993 SEC title game. As a result, Alabama's football program was placed on three years probation, and docked a total of 30 scholarships from 1995 to 1998. Alabama was also forced to forfeit eight wins and one tie from its 9–3–1 1993 season in which Langham participated, resulting in an official record of 1–12. The Crimson Tide were also barred from postseason competition, including the SEC Championship Game and bowl games, during the 1995 season.[6]

UT spelling champ

I mean you seriously get on here and talk trash after your team beat us by 35 points. Yeah good for you and all but haven't you ever heard of winning with shame and losing with honor? Have a little respect and go do something with your life.

While touring Alabama's campus on Thursday, I was very impressed with the area leading up to the front of their stadium with the statues and championship years engraved in the sidewalk. My question is, why doesn't Tennessee do something that shows our history like that? I know we have a statue of the General, but that only came about recently. We name streets after people, but I'd really like to see something along the Vol Walk path that leads up to the stadium with statues of Neyland, Majors, Fulmer, Peyton, and Reggie White.....I'd also add Eric Berry, but that's just because he was my personal favorite.

The Bear Bryant museum was pretty cool to see too; however, I wanted to punch the TV showed fat boy Cody blocking our field goal and throwing his helmet......my girlfriend covered my mouth as I said out loud, "That should have been a penalty!"

Did you pay $5 to shake Bear's hand...or was the line too long with Bammers?

Serious question here for the Bama guys. Does the official Bama record books show a 1 and 12 season for 1993 or 12 and 1 with an astrick of buried NCAA information?

yes but didn't fire the winningest coach in the SEC

Bama fired Bill Curry after 3 years with a 26-10 record. He was fresh off the 1989 SEC co-title. Winningest Bama team since Bear's last title team. His only crime? Couldn't beat Auburn.

Fulmer's final record? 5-7, his fourth losing season in four subpar years. So please, just shut up.
