You think hiring Sunseri as an SEC DC is equivalent to hiring a former NFL DC? The guy I initially responded to said this reminds him of Dooley hiring Sunseri.

I acknowledged my mistake. I had AL AM in my head before posting and didn't feel like researching it to confirm or deny my inkling. I took the MSNBC approach and threw out mud.
He is assembling a lot of hired guns much like Saban but the difference is Saban could use his results to keep a lot of dominant personalities in check look no further than Mel Tucker, Derek Dooley, Lance Thompson, Lane Kiffin, Will Muschamp, Jeremy Pruitt, and Tosh Lupoi. I am not sure that Smart will be given that same benefit of the doubt and you have to wonder if Smart would be better off hiring guys who may work in a more cohesive manner. Lane Kiffin assembled his staff in a very similar way, recruiters first and coaches second. But you could begin to see cracks in Kiffin's staff during the first year but you never know they may do great together. Consistency can be a bad thing as well especially if coaches become complacent much like Fulmer's staff so there is a very fine line between chaos and consistency.
