A good friend now lives in Cold Bay, doing some research with seabirds. Prior to she was on the mainland counting moose from airplanes.

Pretty awesome place,especially if you beat the bushes and get out of the touristy areas. I'd like to get back this coming year.

I've never been. My family has. My mom was born in Fairbanks

My parents own a four-plex there. They go back up every summer. They love it.

Yep, my uncle was stationed there in the Coast Guard and retired there. They were gonna move back down here after my cousin graduated but they decided to stay.

Go to the Anchorage Wal-Mart (yes they have a big one) and check out the sporting goods dept. It has more guns that you will believe. Everyone up there carries. Go to the river walk but watch out for grizzlies and moose there are like deer here, everywhere. It's a different world but I'm ready to go back now.

I have a few .45s, a shotgun an AR, and a bolt action. I think I'm good on guns for a bit.

Actually it was Mobile, but they just wanted to move back down south where the rest of the family is, didnt have to be Mobile, could be Huntsville or Tennessee

When I did my firing range qualification for my CCP, one guy was shooting a Glock 10mm. He put 47 shots in a three inch circle in the center of the target's chest. He put number 48 right between the eyes. The instructor said he was a former Miami SWAT officer and that he wished he had guys in his team that could shoot like that.

I was watching Bait Car a while back. The show was in Los Angeles. One of the cops there was wearing a Vols hat.
