After watching the replay and then highlights of Dobbs vs Alabama, I think when him and the receivers get in sync they'll be good together. Nothing against Worley, but Dobbs has more zing on his throws and I think that led to some drops this past Saturday. I really think if they get their timing together in practice this week we have a real shot at beating Missouri.

He better get the pull out method down pat if he ever goes under center if that's the case.

The thing about Dobbs that concerns me is his slow wind up before the release. It's a bit like Byron Leftwich, who was a good enough college QB...

It just makes me nervous.

I think some of the dropped passes from Dobbs was that our WR's and TE's had no real idea how fast and hard the ball would be coming from him.

From what I saw JD definately had alot more zing on the ball than JW had and that could have really been a surprise and they weren't ready for a hard thrown ball.

I'd have JD throwing hard, fast balls at all our WR's and TE's for awhile every single day after practice this week so they'll get adjusted to the extra speed and harder hits on their hands and have them ready to make catches more consistently from now on.

They get used to 1 QB and how his passes hit their hands and then suddwnly a new QB comes in and it's ZING and POW with the ball on them alot faster and hitting their hands alot harder and they aren't prepared for that.

Maybe a new rule...drop a ball and you run a mile....up and down the steps at Neyland, LOL!

It's time to skin some Mizzou Tigers boys!!!

I think this is just inventing a reason for the drops. I do not think Dobbs had more 'zing' on his passes than Worley. Dobbs arm strength is not very strong. Before you freak out, I am not saying its awful. It is adequate enough to be succesful. If he had more arm strength the pass to Smith down the right sideline would have been a touchdown. The zip on his passes was very comperable to Worley.
