All big names just may turn us down

I just hope we make a real push for each of them. That's all I ask. Make Petersen and Patterson turn down 6 million a year, then I'll say at least you tried. But if you're not willing to spend big money to get homerun hires, then I have to conclude that you just don't want to win enough for me to continue giving you money.

Does anyone really think that we are going to land a top notch coach?

Not now. Aside from Gruden and Petrino there aren't really any high quality coaches up for grabs this season. Looks like we're going to be toiling away in sub-mediocrity for a few more years after having to take another flyer on a mid-major coach. This is so damn frustrating, but I guess most of us are kind of getting used to the nonstop disappointment by now.

I'm so sick and tired of being sick and tired of being disappointed .i keep thinking its our turn, we had our down years , it's our time to rise. But at what point do you stop expecting east titles and start to just be happy when we win? Makes it worse when Florida and bama and Georgia getting all the hype. I know why there are bandwagon fans now, cause this feeling sucks

It happened 3 years ago. We had to settle for Dooley. If anything we are worse off than 3 years ago. We may get someone worse than Dooley this go round.

That seems almost impossible. That said, every time I think we've reached rock bottom, we just plummet a little further down. I'm starting to get the feeling that the next coaching hire is going to go over like a kick in the nuts with the fanbase, because it's not looking like we're going to get a quality coach.

in other news, the world could end tomorrow

Who knows, maybe the Mayans will be right about 2012 being the end of the world and we won't all be forced to watch as the program continues to hover at the bottom of the SEC or nosedives all the way to the bottom now that UK and Auburn have improved their coaching situations.
