This year was the year when we re-kicked the door open and made everyone pay attention to Vol football again...Truth be said, this season, with still a developing defense, we were over-achievers...Before this season started, did anyone even fathom us being in the national payoff picture?? WE ARE ON THE RISE!!! We still have a GREAT chance on being 11-2!! this season 🙃...Coach Heupel has put together a great recruiting class in 2023 [with impressive defenders coming in...especially in secondary]...Offense should continue to get better...I see an even better season to come in 2023...LET'S GO!!! VFL 🧡🧡🏈🧡🧡

At the start of the season would have been happy to end it ranked in the Top 25.
Now we are a Top 10 team and could creep up and finish in the Top 5.

Beat Vandy and win the bowl game. Future is bright! We need a defense and it looks like help is in the way. GO VOLS!

I think we will need either a lot of consistency from our QB or we need the capability of hitting a 70 yarder at any moment, and we will probably need a bit of both next year. I hope I am wrong. However, Hooker was a big reason for our success. Even with a better defense, we will still likely have to score quite a few points.

I think Milton will likely show us tonight if he is the future, or perhaps we will have multiple QB's (which can have it's own upsides), or perhaps we hand things over to one of the young guys. If Milton can't handle Vandy after almost 2 years in the system, it is probably time to move on...Not that I am predicting that. It is simply unknown at this point, if you ask me. Vandy, and the bowl game should clarify this situation quite well.

While I agree with all you posted, we had a truly golden opportunity. The door was right in front of us and we didn't get it done. We had 2 opponents that we should beat. If we'd have done that, we would have had a really good shot at making the playoffs. Even though we'd likely have gotten whipped pretty badly, just the perception and being on that stage would be publicity that you just couldn't put a price on. Getting back to that position will be a very tall order for our program IMO. Say what you will, but the fact remains that real contenders do what teams like TCU are doing. Pretenders do what UT did. Really hoping we can beat Vandy tonight so the wheels don't completely fall off on this season.

Personally, I don't have faith in Milton and if we go into next season having to depend on a true freshman or RS frosh in this league, they'd better be the second coming of Young. I hope we can tempt a top shelf qb from the portal to come in and give us a year or two while Nico and TJ mature a bit.

Just think!!! If UT had Clemson's defense, we would have beat USCe!!! If Clemson had our offense, they would have beat USCe!!!

And if USCe had our defense, they would have lost both games!!!

I have noticed that our fanbase loves to complain about other fan bases. But it never surprises me the amount of hate that is spread amongst our own fans on here. Why does anyone feel the need to post negatively about another post is beyond me. If you dont like what the thread is about then why not just keep scrolling?

I dunno. That would be a lot of QB's who expect to play. Maybe, but if it caused someone to transfer from here, would it be worth it? Certainly, if Milton bombs (in a bad way, haha) the rest of the year, I could see it. So far, looks pretty good.

We have to start building depth and keeping players. That’s building a sustainable program.

I know no one wants to hear this but that is how Bama and now UGA have became so dominant. Recruiting

Getting there would have been an accomplishment. A 2nd loss to virtually any other team without giving up 60+ might even allow us to say it was a better than expected season.
