It is kind of crazy to me that the #4 team in the country only had 3 players get ALL-SEC honors. That tells me either 1) CTV is working with a lot less than other programs and achieving a lot more and 2) the people making these awards snubbed us hard.

Probably both. Keep growing that chip on our shoulder.

you're right it is both but more importantly, you nailed it on the "chip on the shoulder". CTV and Tennessee Baseball has to play with an attitude, as they are less talented than a lot of other teams. Collectively, with an attitude and edginess, they are a really good team.

Careful with suggesting CTV is working with less talent than other SEC programs. Anytime I suggest that I get accosted. But, it's true! What he has done with this roster is nothing short of incredible. That is not to say this team is not talented. There is talent on this team. But, CTV has his guys playing with an attitude, a chip, an edge that is unmatched in conference. I love it.

We just need to use it to our advantage. VanHorn is deserving, but CTV not getting coach of the year will make our guys want to win for him even more. Need to keep that underdog, “us against everyone” attitude.

CTV deserved Coach of the Year honors . . . PERIOD! Arky started the year with high expectations from various national publications and a loaded roster, as did Vandy. Saturday Down South announced their SEC All-Conference team with NO Vols on it but they did leave 3rd base out completely, the dummies.
Our BaseVols are a great team and CTV, CFA and the rest of the staff has built an incredible atmosphere within the program - a winning attitude - never give up mentality.
