Why not just put all the teams in one big conference and have divisions? Then, we could have a playoff.

You know, kind of like football in all other divisions that it is played...

isn't that sort of what we have now, the ncaa being the one conference and the divisions being the conferences we have?

Except in college, these divisions have all the power and change at their own will, creating instability. There's nobody in charge to oversee it for the greater good.

You'll never see an NFL headline like "Sources: NFC South Discussing Expansion with Jets to Access Lucrative New York TV Market".

We shouldn't have schedules, either. On Sunday night, teams will be randomly drawn as opponents. Total lottery matchups like Bloodsport.

Because all that money's split between ALL of them (since this is a single organization/ entity)rather than just around and amongst the divisions

The NFL equivalent to all of this is "Baltimore colts move to Indianapolis; St Louis cardinals pack their bags for Phoenix; the Los Angeles Rams/Raiders head to/back to St. Louis/Oakland; Art Modell's bringing football back to baltimore, so long Cleveland; Oilers set on Nashville as their future home"

Probably the return to Houston and the realignment/restructuring of the entire league's setup probably qualifies a bit there too
