All this proves is that kids still recognize the name UT

You still have recruits that grew up UT fans, and you still have recruits that recognize the brand and history behind the brand. All it took was for a coach to sell it and not take it for granted.

Yep, and its really not as bad as we think sometimes. Dooley was the only bad recruiter that mad us look bad. Fulmer was a great recruiter, he was just at the end of his career. Kiffin was a great recruiter, just bad luck on the USC timing. Then add in Dooley, and the combination makes it look worse than it really is. Everyone seems to be able to recruit to UT except DD, and even he had decent classes plus a couple good ones.

I couldn't agree more. Thank god even Dooley couldn't ruin the UT brand.:rock:

Kids still know we have the most passionate Fanbase, the most Committed Fanbase, one of the most impressive Stadiums in the Nation, and now we have a Coaching staff that has the burning desire to WIN.

Dooley was a better recruiter than Kiffin if you factor in retention. Dooley landed some big talent. He just couldn't get all the pieces moving in the same direction, that's all.

I've said this all along its not as hard as some on this board makes it out to be. Cdd was a total da n butch seems to have mo but reality is some kids.love ut regardless of current record.

Now the other 10 threads say its all cbj n nothing to do with ut...lol

The amazing thing is Jones has turned it around from Dooley in such a shorttime, yes these kids loved Tennessee but Dooley had damped that. Some how Jones has shown them enough that they now believe in him and therefore believe in Tennessee again.

This is so true. Lets not forget the outstanding new facilities too.

Down play it if you want but tkjr and jh said they wouldn't have been here under the last staff. That wasn't there exact words but you get the picture.
