I think he stayed another year at UT after being promised a postition at CB. And why in the hell would we want to move him to S given his performance at CB Saturday. That's nuts.

well thats why i said that he played like a saftey i mean he was all over the feild. I was just throwing up a question but i think the should do something to get our cb and safetys better than sat.

How many times does a CB have 14 tackles...! Thats crazy, dude has a nose for the ball and is a great safety - but keeping him a corner will help us just as much.

Not many for sure!! but he siad that he had the coach put him were he could make plays. I dont understand that! Like i said it was just a question to see what everyone thought. But they need to play better on the passing plays i wasnt impressed what so ever!

He's good enough to play corner and still roam the whole field and run support.

He stays at CB, But he's still the head-hunter of the group.
The youth will look to him every down, Allen must keep an eye on the safetys and the other CB position.

Believe it or not they have a special package for Allen on defense. He did not play CB the whole game against UAB

Allen had 14 tackles at CB, no reason to move him. He can make plays from anywhere. For a while in the game, I thought he was the only one playing defense. I sure am glad he decided to stay for another year.

It is scary to think what this secondary would be without him.

He is a shut down corner, if we could find someone who could play anything close to his level, maybe Morley can, we would have an awesome pass defense.

I am from Muscle Shoals and friends with Jason...I know even though he wants to play corner he will play wherever we need him. He just wants to win and if that means playing safety then that is what he will do. I felt like we got eat up in the middle of the secondary..I think Jason would benefit the team more in the safety position, but I'm just a girl from Alabama so who knows?? :D

NO NO NO NO and NO... he is a corner back no matter WHAT. Last year you had little to work with and you really didnt have a choice. This year there is depth at safety and every other DB position. You might see him there in a certain package but he's a corner back and probably one of the top 3 cover corners in the game. He should be and WILL be at corner!

I think it would be something worth looking at if u moved him back to safety...U would have him and Morley at safety and put Hefney back at CB(his natural position) with Fellows.

He even said on VOLSCALLS tonight/yest eve? He's just a football player, He'll play what ever and be happy to do it. As for CB and NFL, Toss that notion! He's a 1st round pick if he just decides to kick extra points.(Joke)

NFL scouts already know he can play, He's a game winning DB and sure HITTER/Tackle. Gonna be sweet in that Cowboys uni! :birgits_giggle:

He'll be great alongside K. Burnett!!! Allen is just unbelievable. I would rather watch him play than any other player we've had in 10 years.
