Anyone been? They worth the expense ($40 / adult). Fun? Crowded? Food good, etc? Family is going to the MSU game. Will be myself (Alumni), wife, daughter (UT senior), daughter (MSU Freshman), and son (9th grader).
If you are referring to the Volunteer Club tailgate at Humanities Plaza, yes, it is a great time and a good deal. Members are free with one guest, kids and additional guests are supposed to cost extra, but they aren't very tight on scanning/security.Anyone been? They worth the expense ($40 / adult). Fun? The breakfast one I attended left some to be desired on the food end, but the others have been great. Smoked Pickle BBQ has been my favorite. Those burnt ends!!!
I believe so. The Alumni Tailgate is located at the Student Union (21st Mortgage Plaza).Where is it located? We went to one before Kent St game at the back of the court yard behind College of Business and Social Services. We weren't charged admissions fees, but had to RSVP and received a QR code for entry. Had tents, food, drinks, bar included. Pep band, cheerleaders and Smokey came.
Is this something different?
The food is typically something along the line of burgers/dogs/wings/BBQ with sides like green salad/BBQ beans/cole slaw. Also will have a dessert cake or cookies.I believe so. The Alumni Tailgate is located at the Student Union (21st Mortgage Plaza).
Great info. Appreciate it.The food is typically something along the line of burgers/dogs/wings/BBQ with sides like green salad/BBQ beans/cole slaw. Also will have a dessert cake or cookies.
Places to sit are somewhat limited with tables to stand at also available. Alcohol is now unlimited.
The chancellor will typically stop by to speak and maybe another coach, former player, etc will appear. Smokey and the cheerleaders will stop by also for a time.
There's sometimes a band under the tent and there will also be TVs setup to watch any other games.
Lots of giveaways (buttons, shakers, coozie type of stuff).
