Even though I KNOW they are the most talented playmakers on our team, I'm actually happy JH, CP, and Bray are heading to the NFL.
We need a new team to match our new coach. No Dooley holdovers. No attitude problems.
Even though losing these stars may hurt in the short term, we'll be alot better off in the long run. I feel like we've hit the RESET BUTTON on the last 5 years. Plus we will have more pull with star recruits looking for early playing time...V,B!

Despite our personal feelings we would've had a great team and Dooley would still be our coach if it wasn't for our defense. We could've broke our streak against the gators, beat UGA in Athens, and shocked USC.

Make no mistake, we would be a much better team with all three next year, but ill miss CP the most above all others.

I do love CP but when a team only has ONE real stud, they tend to lean on it like a crutch. See our last few years offensively. This new team needs BALANCE

Only idiots are happy about our three best players leaving. All top 3 round NFL picks leaving from a losing team whose only strength was those players.

No, wish they would have stayed, but glad we are finally getting some Vols back in the NFL.

I like the reset button analogy. I keep saying it, but Worley will flourish next year. I live in Charlotte, and this is the same offense he used to run and he was player of the year. Short crisp timing route are his specialty.

We do need WRs now though, Butch will run a lot of 4 WR sets. Of course he could use Neal a lot out of the back field.

When it stops being about a select few and starts being about everybody, a true team is formed. Yes to a new beginning with a clean slate. You can tell the coaching staff has a clear plan and synergy from the media interviews. So addition by subtraction is a plus, although I would have loved for CP to stay because he has great upside.

No doubt I will miss watching all three play together however, I think we needed CP to stay more than the other two. But I think Bray needed the extra year the most.

What is the deal with the overly cp love. Yes he was a special "talent" but he couldnt run routes and didnt go to class. Jh and bray were better VOLS. Hunter was a beast starting out his soph yr. I will miss him more than cp. And alot of people are talking about brays attitude, but imagine if you had to play for doofus? You would probably get a little frustrated too. You can miss whoever you want, but i will cherish what bray and hunter did more than the one hit wonder of cp

I think Hunter should have returned. I think Bray should have gone. I don't think CP had a real choice in the matter due to grades.

You guys know how the game is played, right? You take your best 11 and put them on the field. Ours just got knocked down by three.

And unfortunately the three we will count on to replace our best three are nowhere near the talent level of JH, Bray, and CP.

How people can put a positive spin on this is beyond me. The 2013 season is going to be brutal.

2013 was already going to be a write-off year anyways. Might as well let the pups get a year of experience and they'll be ready to compete in 2014.

Some of us know that, sadly our former coaches did not!

Here is the positive...2013 was going to be brutal anyway. Going to Oregon, Fla and Bama. Sure we might have won 8 instead of 6 or 7 but these guys leaving makes the 2014 team much much better!

I disagree. I am with OP on this one. I think if it were Dooley coming back to coach next year and we were going to try the same gameplan again, only without our 3 best players, then yes this would be cause for panic mode.

But this is a new coach, new style, new gameplan, new era, new team. I agree Bray is the best QB to put on the field if you're running Dooley's offense, but under CBJ's offense we may already a better candidate on the roster. Hunter played soft anyways, wasn't the same Hunter I remember. CP would work well with any offense so there's no way to positively spin that one.

Basically, it's like breaking up with the hottest girl you've ever dated because she's not wife material and its time to start looking for a wife. It sucks right now, but it's time to start building for the long run.
