He is going to USC....

We had WRU going and now it left for the West Coast. That class is going to make me puke.

Kippy Brown impressed me a lot during the press conference. If he is telling these kids the same things he was saying in the conference, hopefully he can keep some of these guys. I think it would be best at this point to hire Kiffy Brown as the HC and keep our staff together. I was looking, and most of the recruits we still have were recruited by staff still on board. The ones Orgeron recruited are already enrolled, so it is too late for them to back out anyways.

if markieth want to go to usc knowing the infractions committee is gong to cut there scholerships for 3 or4 years and there will be no bowl games or chanch to win pac 10 titals for a few years go and get sanctioned up .ut doesnt want people here that was just here for an egotistical coach who im glad is gone ,but could have waited 4 weeks or left before bowl game.this time mike hamilton do a better job than getting a promoter yes he promoted tennessee but more self promotion than anything ,i can understand his dad folling him but why does orgeran go with him is he mindless ,and has to have kiffen lead him ,i was happy when we got the bum kiffen because he was young and energetic but lets get someone who has some class and want bolt on us

Kiffin couldn't leave until the USC position was open and offered to him. It would have been impossible for him to go before the bowl considering Pete Carroll was the coach of USC. What was he supposed to do? Announce he was leaving in the hopes that Pete Carroll would leave USC AND that USC would offer him the job? Get real. He did what any coach would have done. He had a good job and was quickly offered the job of his dreams. Simple business. He could have handled the announcement better, but the act of leaving isn't devious at all. And riddle me this...If we were to hire a coach who's currently recruiting well at another school, would you not want him to try and convince some of the better ones to come over to UTK? Of course. It's what you do. For a year+ he's been talking to the players about football and they have a rapport with him. You can't expect him to go to another place and turn his back on them after a year of constant interaction.
Coaching is a double-edged sword.

they're not going to get a bama penalty, the ncaa was hesitant to give to bama what it did for more than two players

if they were hesitant to give what they did to bama, there's no way they give USC that severe of a penalty for like two players unless it turns out the university was buying coccaine and hookers for OJ mayo and reggie bush...

And you know the kids will be told nothing will come of it whether that is the case or not. The NCAA is ruling until after NSD and by then it will be too late for the recruits and us.
