The embarrassment of being associated with UT is over. Dooley, Butch, Schiano, Pruitt are all in the rear mirror.

The end of the Bama game was a 30 minute informercial. Then we got lots of positive press for a change. Recruits are blown away by the fans and the atmosphere.

Most importantly, any of us who wear the colors are approached by strangers wishing us luck. Everyone is sick of Alabama and Georgia and their fans. It’s time for some new blood.

We can absolutely finish this.

I've had a lot of positive feedback down here in FL, especially from Miami fans. I think knocking off Bama bought us a lot of goodwill. The biggest point many make is that cfb is boring with the same 4-5 teams winning every year. They want someone else to crash the party and we're it this year

The troops ARE the Vols. In at least three different ways that I can think of off the top of my head.

1. Tennessee Volunteers seem to join the military above average rates; run into tons of Vols when in uniform.
2. Every American soldier, sailor, airman, marine, and coast guardsman is a volunteer. No mercenaries, no draftees.
3. The spirit of 1848 lives on in our men and women in uniform. The state of Tennessee gave that legacy to the nation, and the nation remembers and honors selflessness and sacrifice. It is even built into the values we teach new troops: selfless service.

Go Vols!
