Saw it last night, honestly think it's a tad overrated. It was about 20 minutes too long. I liked Cooper and Lawerence's performances, and Bale was good but not outstanding, and Adams I'm surprised got a nomination. Her performance wasn't particularly memorable and Lawerence far outshined her.
Of the best picture noms, I've seen this, Captain Phillips, and Dallas Buyers Club and the 2 latter IMHO are better movies.
Imo beat picture is a 2 horse race between Wolf of Wall Street and Captain Phillips with Captain Phillips winning.
I will be shocked if 12 Years a Slave doesn't win best picture. One of my classmate's dad is a movie critic and is featured on rotten tomatoes and he says he would be shocked if 12 Years a Slave doesn't win. I'm rooting for Captain Phillips to win.
