Unfortunately again for the wrong side.

Let's see, during the Clinton administration we gave nuclear technology to North Korea that resulted in them having a nuclear bomb or three.

During the Clinton administration we gave China technology that they now say they have used to produced weapons that can penetrate any of our defenses and kill one of our aircraft carriers up to 900 nautical miles at sea.

I just can't wait for all this NASA technology advanced by obambi to the muslim world to manifest itself.

I was listening to the Fred Thompson show last night and he advanced the idea that the American people have been at war with their own government in Washington.

We still survive, so far.

This all remindes me of once when a Secretary of the Navy addressed a class of graduating midshipmen at Annapolis and said; "young men you are about to embark on your first real deployment at sea, you are going to see some of the most sophisticated technology America has ever produced, unfortunately you will be seeing it on Soviet ships."

Nothing like honesty to clear the air.

a lot of ppl feel like there is zero accountability in DC ... Peggy Noonan calls it feelings of pessimism and powerlessness ...

Peggy Noonan: America Is at Risk of Boiling Over - WSJ.com
When the adults of a great nation feel long-term pessimism, it only makes matters worse when those in authority take actions that reveal their detachment from the concerns—even from the essential nature—of their fellow citizens. And it makes those citizens feel powerless.

Inner pessimism and powerlessness: That is a dangerous combination

The vast majority of American citizens, and rightfully so, do not trust the federal government anymore.

Over 60% don't even trust congress to represent their best interests.

I'm pretty sure Americans have always mistrusted their government.

Let me tell you for sure because I can remember, the mistrust of a half century ago is nothing to compare with today's degree of mistrust.

Back then some wondered if Washington was doing the right thing at times, today a huge portion of the citizenry firmly believe the government is doing the wrong things and furthermore don't give a rat's ass what we think.

What's really incredible is, while the vast majority of Americans disagree with what the government is doing, they are actually talking about wildly different aspects of the government. I think far more than 60 % feel disenfranchised.

I think it's incredibly our technology is being used to the benefit of hezbollah, that is just as wrong as hell.

Depends on if you leave your comfort zone.

With a global economy, the interconnected nature of the world, and the diverse types of people working in science in America, it seems anything can be "out of the bag" once it has been made.
