Okay gang, let it rip. What's the biggie in your opinion? You only get one choice but we all know this is a combination thing.

Only your number one is allowed in the poll itself.

Comments welcome!

You should have put Greed up there and I would have voted for that.

I voted indifference and apathy. If you don't think that's a problem, go ask 10 people who their congressman is.

I had a difficult time choosing between two...so I picked the one that has effected me and my family the most: Sending Jobs Offshore.

While it's great for companies who can make the same products for much cheaper labor...the families in the US who rely on a check from that company are left in the dust with nowhere to turn.

But, that's why 90% of the world hates us. Americans worship money.

My hero, Ronald Reagan, once said, "As the family goes, so goes the nation." I chose weakening family structure. I see it every day in my classroom.

Ditto. People just don't care anymore.

I voted governmental/judicial arrogance, although that's not quite what im getting at. But it's the closest. The popularity of Cable News and televised debate has bastardized any sort of political discussion in this country, practically rendering democracy in this country inept if anything... People just listen to the babling of pundits on tv and then become quick to jump to the popular opinion of the "right" or the "left" instead of actually thinking things through for themselves.

I gave up network/cable TV long ago. The internet really isn't much better, though.

Eh... I forgot to finish that thought. A lot of people that I know who watch Cable News just take one of two positions on a debate, mouth off about it a few times then think that they've done their democratic duty.

I'm the exact opposite. I flip constantly between FOX, CNN and MSNBC.

I was torn between apathy and weakening family but I went with the weak family because I think it leads to more of the other problems than apathy does

There's nothing wrong with that... It's just the majority of people I know that automatically take either the liberal or conservative position on any given issue. e.g. during the election, people would ask me; "Who do you want to win?" When I'd answer with "I think they are both terrible candidates." I don't think I ever got anything besides a strange look.

That kind of ties into the Greed that I was talking about. We are a greedy nation and that might be our downfall. Some might even say that we don't even own our our country anymore...

I went with weakening gamily structures because it leads to other stuff on that list. It's sad to see some of the kids in my school whose lives are going to be greatly affected because their parents do not have control over them. And I hate to some of my friends have to put up with divorced parents.
