Anyone watching this. I find it interesting maybe not entertaining, lol. Looks staged like most shows now days.

This has got to be staged, and I don't find these guys anywhere near as intimidating as the real mafia. I would laugh at these guys if they showed up at my door.

I think Discovery said the show are reenactments of real events.

I don't even buy that they are re enactments. I tried to get interested in it, but it's just too fake.

I can't remember one scene that was believable. I will take their green corn though.

It is a totally made up show. I've been around the Amish and the Mennonites a whole lot in northern Indiana, Holme County, Ohio, and Lancaster, PA. The power holders in those worlds are the Bishops and elders who are more powerful than any mafia could ever be in their communities.

Stores in Lancaster, PA have tshirts and hats that say "I <3 Intercourse." Is that related to the show?

Also, it's completely staged and says so in the credits. I hate how Discovery has gone the way of every other "educational" channel.

'Amish Mafia' sparks more controversy in Central PA - CBS 21 News - Breaking news, sports and weather for the Harrisburg -York -Lancaster -Lebanon Pennsylvania area

I can't find the article right now but there was another one from a store owner depicted on the show who said he was not protected by Levi as shown on the show.

This article I posted last week sounds like what you're talking about.

This show is beyond terrible.

I lived close to Lancaster for 4 years and NEVER saw or heard of any of this stuff. The Amish community is a very close knit group and these people would be banned from the community. No.way this guy would get away with driving a Cadillac and providing booze to minors
