I know this might sound a bit on the edge but it looks like to me that somebody would come up with an alternative network to ESPN.

As much interest as there is in sports in this country, I really think a sports network competitor would be able to make it.

It is interesting to me that ESPN can be so biased toward certain programs and against others and still be the benchmark against which we measure so many things in sports in this country.

I am hoping that some major organizations and benefactors can come together and at least try to invent another network with a more objective approach. I rarely do the ESPN thing and I AM A SPORTS NUT AND A TENNESSEE VOL ALL THE WAY. CBS Sportsline, FOX SPORTS, ABC SPORTS, etc. tend to be my sources, but I would definitely like to see another all-sports network surface.

Monopolies in any field of endeavor do not make for the best of situations. I'm just hoping here, you know!

Hello Big Bro,
Just read your comment and your OrangeMama enjoyed seeing how this works. JUDYVOL, MAMAVOL and SISTERVOL thought this was a very insightful, well spoken, intelligent, creative, innovative thought. We are in complete agreement and support of this idea......of course MAMAVOL always thought you were the smartest!!!

YEAH I DO NOT LIKE ESPN.COM. THERE WEBSITE LACKS INDEPTH STATS AND OTHER THINGS. AND THEY ARE BIASED TO CERTAIN THINGS AND SITUATIONS. PATRIOTS. ANY FLORIDA COLLEGE FOOTBALL TEAM. ANY ACC COLLEGE BASKEBALL TEAM. I ENJOY SI.COM AND CBS.SPORTSLINE.COM. :espn:

What makes ESPN any worse than any other network? They are occasionally guilty of having some dopey and uninformed commentary, but every media outlet does that.

I do agree about ESPN.com. That is one clunky website that takes forever to load and is full of popups, ads etc.

Like I have been saying surreal, I want to start my own network TSPN. Will you lend me some money so that I can get it going? :dunno:

Since the NFL season started up, I've been watching the NFL network a lot more than ESPN. Better news, better analysts, just an overall better network for NFL football.
