Just read on another board that Inky will be at the game and will be up in the press box. Word was they did not want him on the side-line for safety reasons.

yeah, hopefully they're keeping him off the field in expectation for the postgame celebration riot.

It'll be nice when beating Florida once again becomes so routine that there is no post-game celebration riot. It won't be any big deal. It will just be another victory that was expected.

I'm glad to hear that Inky is doing well enough that he can be at the game. Keeping him off of the sidelines is probably a really smart move though.

Good move. You can bet that he will some face time on TV. I think he deserves it. Go INKY

I'm not happy that he got injured. I'm not happy when anyone gets seriously injured. However, what has he done to deserve face time on TV? This guy is NOT a stud player. Hopefully he'll be a stud player some day, but he isn't yet.

Stud player? not yet...but he was a darn good corner and started for UT...not many corners can say that.

Like I said, I'm just wondering where the comment, "I think he deserves it" comes from. The guy has only started 2 games.

Antoinio Cromartie didn't even start two games for FSU and he was drafted in the first round. Inky is one of the better players we have in our secondary. He probably isn't as athletically gifted as a lot of them, but he really makes up for it with intensity. It's probably that intensity that got him hurt. Somebody that gives their all like that deserves a little time on TV. Not to mention the fact that he might not be playing football anymore, so this may be his last time to get some airtime.

I guess my point is you state that he is one of the better players we have in our secondary, yet 1) there are only 4 guys starting in the secondary, so to be "one of the better players" isn't that exclusive of a club and 2) the guy has only started 2 games so even your comment about him being one of the better guys in our secondary is nothing more than your projection of what this guy possibly could have done based on your assessment of his talent. Like I said, I'm not in any way happy about the fact that he's injured, but the fact that he's injured hasn't turned him into Ronnie Lott.

I think you can say that he's given his all for UT.

If by 2, you mean 8, then you'd be right.

BFD. So it's 2 this year and 6 last year. It's still only about two-thirds of one season, and our secondary got lit up like a Christmas tree by very marginal teams (to be kind) at the end of last season. I guess that makes this kid a superstar.

I never said he was a superstar, now did I? I just love when someone (you) acts all high and mighty, and doesn't come close to the facts.

I understand, you want to be different. You want to be edddddddgy. It's okay, we see you. Here is your attention. Now, admit you were wrong, and I won't have to discipline you again.

Discipline me? :shaking2: You are one condescending SOB. Since you're coming in to the end of this thread perhaps you missed the point that I was making was that he hasn't done anything to deserve face time on camera. Getting injured doesn't make him worthy of face time on camera, starting 2 games this year wasn't anything worthy of face time on camera, and getting lit up by the likes of Vanderbilt doesn't make him worthy of face time on camera either. Is that edgy enough for you?:neener:

If you want to see a post that is an example of someone just out looking for attention, then look here: http://www.volnation.com/forum/tennessee-vols/18803-hey-florida.html

:lolabove: I love it! Good response. The whole discipline part was obviously over the top. I know you wish for the best with Inky, but just arguing about him getting face time is ridiculous. It's silly. Then, your argument to back it up was based on completely inaccurate facts.

At least when you bring something to the table, be correct! Haha. Anyway, I understand what you're saying. I know you appreciate Inky's commitment to the Vols for the last few years. I don't even think CBS will show him, but if they did, it won't be a waste of time. He definitely deserves love from the Vol faithful, because we all act like we're a big family.

Give the kid a break. He's made a number of plays for us in his short career and he may have lost significant arm function. All this happened because he played hard for Tennessee. The least we can do as fans is show him some gratitude.

Nice edit add. However, my personal reason for starting the thread is because I love it when we do it. Not looking for attention for myself, but for some fun community singing. :)

I'm glad you liked it. No ill will intended. I just had to fire a shot back over your bow. :peace:

It seems to me that we've only had 2 games this year that anyone could start. I guess that 100% isn't good enough. 2 is 2, 8 is 8. If you can't be real then at least be accurate.

Ok.....the rum is kicking in.....I offically remove myself from this conversation :peace:
