Tennessee should really avoid having these things drawn out and put in place an objective standard for coach termination. The first time you need to beat both Kentucky and Vanderbilt to be bowl eligible, you get a free pass. The second time, I could go either way. The third time--you're fired. Without being two critical of those opponents, for Tennessee to need to scratch and claw this way this late in the season just to be bowl eligible is really inexcusable.
