Until UT gets back to 7-8 in the top 100 like Phil was signing, welp You got to have the Hosses to pull the wagon.

Appears to be a pretty close correlation with our positioning within the conference. Fighting with everyone else for second place behind Bama and UGA. Now throw OK and TX into the mix.

We can knock off those guys here and there with that kind of recruiting. But to compete with them year in and year out, I would think we need to be hauling in those elite classes consistently.

Edit: And no, I don't think recruiting rankings are everything. But they clearly mean something.

Agree. I'd say we're treading water...but that's not all bad. QB in college is such a multiplier as we saw w/ Hooker. JH lining up good talent @ QB. Think we do need to be in the 7-8 range for 2-3 years in a row to start to really challenge Bama, UGA, etc...

I get that some things are more art than science, but...
