Just wondering who VN thinks should win the Heisman. My vote would go to Gerhart, he is a workhorse.

McCoy will win, The ESPN machiene drives this thing. But I would vote Gerhart as well. He's a man.

McCoy wins. Gerhart is a system rb. the holes he has are unbelievable. there are 20 rbs in the country that would put up similar numbers.

Agreed about the holes, BUT holes don't provide him straight up running over people like in the ND game though.

yes he's a great short yardage runner, but not a great RB. good yes. not elite.

why? because our backup rb out rushed him by 60 yards in Big Game this year? seems like a heisman candidate to me.

and let's not forget ND's run d is garbage.

Cal's RB also carried the ball 22 more times that game. Gerhart averaged 7 yards a run with 4 td's.

I tend to agree. I find it much harder to imagine him running over good defenses.

61 yards was on one carry. take that out and he averaged 3 yards a carry.

Thing is, you can't take away that one carry. He busted a big play :peace2: I can't argue against his resume. 1,700 yards rushing and 26 TD's.

plenty of guys have put up similar stats and not sniffed the heisman.

I hope McCoy wins it, should have been his last year. Hopefully he will get a NC this year too.

I wouldn't mind Tebow winning so all the Buckeyes blabbering about Archie's double Heisman like it is some sort of team accomplishment will shut up.

On a top 25 team in a BCS conference? Serious question, I honestly don't know

in 04, with one less game, Cal's RB ran for 2,000 yards and didn't even get an invite. cal was ranked #5th in the country before the bowl game.
