Ok deerpark....what the heck happened?? This sucks!! Only good thing is I guess it's clear Serrano is running a straight program where even the best are held accountable.

Toles had already been suspended once this fall for skipping classes. I guess him missing a mandatory meeting was the last straw.

Serrano was pretty clear in his recent interviews that no one had earned a spot with him yet. Obviously, Toles was too cocky to think that applied to him. Watched him last season and other than being a really quick runner he wasn't that impressive and even less so when you took into account his obvious attitude issues. My guess is Serrano did not think he was as irreplaceable as Toles thought himself...speaks well for the integrity of the new staff if you ask me.

I agree. TR looked the other way when it came to Toles, behavior and academic ( and maybe a little too much adult beverage ).

Toles has the skill set to be a really good player. To bad he is too stupid to realize that sticking with Serrano could have got him to the bigs.

Baseball just went from being a 5 win team to a 2 win team.

Inexcusable to miss class this time of year.

Hate to hear this. His dad Alvin was a bada** linebacker here back in the day and is not going to be happy about this. I used to say Al Wilson may be as good as Alvin Toles one day and he was but that's an example of how good Alvin was. First round pick back in 85.

What a shame to see a young man screw up an opportunity like this.

But as much as it sucks to lose his talent, I think the character that Serrano will demand and develop on this team will have a lot more impact on our success.
