Lane Kiffin has shown himself to be a master at milking media coverage. It worked to our advantage with both Bryce Brown and Oku that they announced late.

I think this year we will have announcements at the UA game just like the schools we aspire to get back to the level of in National Recruiting including USC.

I would say Cobbs is the number 1 recruit who stands out as an obvious guy who can take that media opportunity to commit, who else?

Michael Dyer is a possibility.

Lamarcus Joyner would be fantastic but I think it will be an announcement for FSU instead. I think we get Riley though.

Corey Lemonier would be great, do not think it is happening.

Jeff Luc I think we actually have a chance with.

Milliner I do not think we have a shot with, but if Berry is top 3 in Heisman it would help with everyone who wants to be the next E Berry.

Sadly I do not think anyone announces that they are switching their QB commit this game (Sims, Scroggins, Brunetti) but I think Bray and Cam Newton will be a good class and we will get a top 3 QB next year.

I like Cam too. Bray is ok, and we'll probably end up with him since it's only SDSU and UT. I'd take Cam over the rest of the field though.

Have you actually seen Cam Newton throw the ball? I mean you do realize that he was supposed to be the next Tim Tebo at Florida, right? Not really a pro style QB like Lane Kiffin is looking for IMO.

I love getting Oku and Brown, but what was our advantage in getting them late? I think that is just when they decided, not some kind of conspiracy recruiting tactic.

Newton has a cannon for an arm and is huge in stature. He is much more like Jamarcus Russell or Daunte Culpepper than Tebow.

Sorry about the repeat post....I have reviewed plenty of film on Cam and I have to say he does have a much better throwing motion than Tebo. That being said I haven't seen him take very many snaps from under center. Nearly every snap is from shotgun formation. Do you think this would be a problem for him in a pro style offense or no big deal?

DeMarcus Milliner committed to Bama and we have about as good of a shot as him as we do Phillip Sims.

Cause Jamarcus Russell sucks....Russell was an Al Davis pick. He has a cannon arm with the brain of a squirrel. Alot of college players rely totally on the fact they're bigger, faster and more atheltic than the people they play against. Once they get to the pro's LB's run like RB's, corner backs are faster than WR's and the QB is usually the slowest guy on the field. Alot of players suceed at the next level because they play smarter than their opponent. Russell fits that mold perfectly, he's getting ready to be beat out by Jeff Garcia.

Kiffin is smarter than Al Davis and everyone knows that but Al Davis

Newton was stupid enough to use a stolen laptop in a class. I doubt he's smarter than Jamarcus Russell.

Im telling you, you don't want Newton. He wasn't even a proficient enough passer in our offense. I doubt he can take snaps under center. He is also a complete moron and friends who are tutors told me he was the dumbest kid they ever tutored and had no interest in anything they said.
